Main Plot of Wednesday- There is grim news from Khesahn, Vietnam. BEWARE THE IDES OF MARCH, on which there will be a school board assesment of Mrs. Baker & the cross country tryout for Holling. Heather wants to go to college but her father won't let her. Bobby Kennedy is running for President. Mrs Baker continues to coach Holling to help him run faster. The rats fall on school board member, Mrs Sidman. They then get out of their cage when they are being taken to the exterminator & chase Holling during his cross country tryout. The rats end up squished by the bus. People make fun of Mai Thi, saying she wanted to eat 'ratburgers'. Danny punches an 8th grader who makes fun of her & his parents take him to D.C. to celebrate. 

Holling is? possibly Julius Caesar because he has a "hard day" on the IDES  OF MARCH.  

What does he learn? Holling's relationship with Mrs. Baker grows stronger as they get through the Ides of March together.
